Hosokawa Custom Processing Services offers custom processing (milling, size reduction, etc.) for Chemicals, Minerals, Polymers, and Plastics at our new, state-of-the-art facility in Goldsboro, NC. The Team specializes in process development - helping identify the most efficient solutions for batch processing to long-term manufacturing.
The Asst. Manager, Custom Processing position exists to assist the Custom Processing Manager with running the day-to-day operations of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the execution of test work for the development of new projects as directed by the Manager of Custom Processing.
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of NJ equipment for HCPS. This includes assembly, disassembly, inspection and cleaning of equipment for processing projects.
- Responsible for customer contact and arrangement for shipping of materials and associated documentation. This includes operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment for the purpose of loading and unloading trucks and warehouse organization.
- Responsible for maintaining the Custom Processing project schedule for NJ and NC locations.
- Responsible for weekly updates of the Custom Processing Backlog.
- Responsible for Customer contact at the direction of the Manager of Custom Processing and pricing and proposal generation.
- Responsible for the purchasing of supplies for the NJ and NC locations.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of machine operation experience
- 2 years of Management level experience
- 1 years of experience using Microsoft Office 365 to include Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- A.S.Degree
- Fork Lift certifications
- 1 years of work experience using hand tools including screw drivers, box wrenches and socket wrenches
- 1 years of mechanical aptitude
Skills:
- Effective communication skills (written/verbal)
- Ability to communicate information and ideas that internal/external customers understand
- Needs to be able to exchange accurate information
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally ascends/descends ladders to service, assemble and disassemble equipment and piping
- Occasionally required to transport up to 50lbs
- Capable of remaining stationary and upright for the duration of shift
- Must be able to wear the required PPE as specified for the role, including but not limited to: masks, gloves and face shields
- Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions
