Summary:
Reporting to the Development Manager, the Development Coordinator plays a key role in fundraising, marketing, and community relations efforts. This position helps manage donor relations, oversee digital and print communications, support fundraising events, assist with planned giving initiatives, and coordinate the Community Volunteer Center.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- Experience with donor databases and nonprofit fundraising preferred.
- Strong knowledge of social media and website management.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to embrace the mission and culture of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the donor database, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely acknowledgements.
- Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns, events, and community outreach initiatives.
- Manage and maintain the organization’s social media presence.
- Assist with creating and distributing printed and promotional materials.
- Support donor stewardship, including planned giving initiatives and prospect research.
- Prepare and coordinate bulk mailings for fundraising and outreach efforts.
- Help compose and submit grant applications to secure funding.
- Coordinate communication efforts with the public, including press releases and community presentations.
- Oversee the Community Volunteer Center calendar, contracts, and general upkeep.
- Handle Circle of Caring preparation and delivery.
- Provide administrative support for development operations, including processing invoices for various events, maintaining inventory and assisting with volunteer coordination.
- Serve as backup for front desk and phone coverage, when needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.63 - $24.04 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
