Join Hospice of OC as an Intake Coordinator where you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient intake processes and providing exceptional customer service. As an integral part of our healthcare facility, you will be responsible for handling medical records, patient services, scheduling, and administrative support.
Duties:
- Coordinate patient intake procedures efficiently and accurately.
- Manage medical records and ensure all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with healthcare providers for urgent care needs.
- Provide excellent patient service at the front desk by greeting and assisting patients with inquiries.
- Utilize HospiceMD software for managing patient information effectively.
- Assist in medical scheduling and coordinating appointments for patients.
- Collaborate with the medical team to facilitate smooth patient flow.
- Support dental receptionist duties when necessary.
- Provide essential office support including filing, data entry, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Hospice MD preferred.
- Experience in urgent care or medical receptionist roles preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Previous experience in medical administrative support is a plus.
Qualifications:
- LVN certification
- Experience in medical administrative support
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of hospice care procedures
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as HospiceMD
- Ability to handle patient service efficiently
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations
- Excellent computer skills
