Description
We are currently searching for a Senior Donor Relations Manager to join us at Hospice of the Chesapeake as a key member of the Philanthropy Team, who will be entrusted with the responsibility of securing major contributions to propel the organization's mission and programs.
This role involves employing a full range of solicitation techniques, including identifying and cultivating potential donors, soliciting qualified prospects, and stewarding both new and past major donors. Strong communications, and excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a dynamic major gifts prospect pool, comprising at least 75-100 prospects from diverse sources such as grateful families, philanthropists, corporations, and foundations.
- Implement a comprehensive prospect management strategy covering identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship stages.
- Secure a minimum of four appointments and meetings weekly with prospects, engaging in activities ranging from learning about their personal interests to soliciting support or expressing gratitude for their contributions.
- Maintain high visibility in the geographical areas assigned with a goal to identify new prospects.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date donor records within the database, meticulously updating actions and pertinent information regarding prospects' giving capacity, relationships, and relevant experiences.
- Develop high-quality proposals that outline the benefits of major gifts to HOC patients and families, offering recognition opportunities as desired by the donor.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Five years of fundraising experience, with a minimum of three years focused on individual major gift solicitations and stewardship, backed by a documented record of success.
- Healthcare fundraising experience preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Proven track record in managing donor events and activities.
- Knowledge of healthcare fundraising is preferred.
- Understanding of and commitment to the mission and vision of hospice.
- CFRE Preferred.

Salary : $73,000 - $85,000
