Gap Year Pathology Program for Students Pursuing Healthcare Graduate Degrees
Embark on a gap year with HPAs Postgraduate Pathology Programan outstanding opportunity for passionate individuals aspiring to pursue a medical graduate degree or healthcare postgraduate program. Our program provides learning experiences in the science of disease causes and effects through examining human tissue and the practice of laboratory medicine. As a member of the Postgraduate Pathology Program, you will collaborate closely with pathologists and laboratory professionals in collecting, processing, and diagnosing pathologic specimens.
As part of HPAs Gap Year Pathology Program, you will have the opportunity to experience a healthcare setting and learn from pathologists and pathologists assistance, such as :
- Mentoring from pathologists and pathologists assistants for graduate healthcare careers
- Educational sessions with pathologists ranging from cancer staging, tumor types, molecular testing, and how
diseases look under the microscope

The education coordinator organizes and prepares multidisciplinary patient care-planning conferences. The materials they prepare allow healthcare professionals to discuss trends and share medical knowledge and information. As an education coordinator, you will work closely with pathologists on projects and tasks as requested while coordinating HPAs internal medical literature and publications review.

The interview will consist of a series of short interviews with pathologists and current pathology aides. A virtual interview option will be available for those who need it.
