Summary

Full-time, Days, 40 Hours/Week

 

Responsibilities:

  • Answering the phone, scheduling appointments
  • Registering patients when they arrive
  • Making copies of the documents they bring and ID
  • Getting paperwork ready for the next day
  • Learning what we need when someone calls in with a work injury, scanning and attaching documents to our EMR and then sending back to client when needed.
  • We don’t deal with “regular health insurance” so no need for that kind of knowledge.

Performs a wide variety of activities which may include both direct patient care, as well as office functions, depending on the size of the assigned area. Direct patient care may include working with patients in-person and over the phone, and completing tasks involving the use of assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation skills. All patient care is provided under the direct supervision of the physician and/or mid-level provider. Drug Alcohol Technicians may also engage in reception activities, greeting and assisting patients and visitors, and help complete the business side of a patient visit.


Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or GED

 

Experience

Customer service experience - Required

Healthcare experience - Preferred

 

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

Certification as an urine DOT substance testing collector within 30 days of employment is required.

Certification as a breathe DOT substance testing collector within 30 days of employment is required.

 

BLS within 60 days of employment
