What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Specialist I position at Hospital Sisters Health System?
- Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm, on-site in Springfield, IL
The Payroll Specialist provides basic coordination and assistance for the multi-state system payroll function by facilitating the time and attendance, scheduling and payroll activities. This position may work with leaders to guide, problem solve and assist with payroll functions to successfully complete pay cycles on a biweekly basis. Under the direction of the System Manager-Payroll provides support within assigned affiliate area. Works closely with the leadership and other more experienced payroll colleagues to plan, implement and facilitate the work activity of the system payroll function to accomplish goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED is required
Associates degree in accounting, finance or related field is preferred
Experience
One (1) year payroll related experience is required
Prior workforce management experience is preferred
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Fundamental Payroll Professional (FPP) is preferred
