Overview
A freestanding ER in Longview, TX is seeking an IT Technician to join their team. The IT Technician will strive to provide proficient, competent care.
Responsibilities for the IT Technician
- Setting up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices such as routers and printers.
- Checking computer hardware to ensure functionality.
- Installing and configuring appropriate software and functions according to specifications.
- Performing troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems including repair and replace parts and debugging.
- Maintaining records and logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
- Maintaining updated and efficient computer systems and networks to optimize the role of technology on business sustainability.
- Communicating with the technology team and other departments as collaboration requires.
- Directing and supporting the implementation of new software and hardware.
- Coordinating IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications for the IT Technician
- Proven knowledge of the hierarchical infrastructure of health information systems.
- Proven working knowledge of diagnostic and problem‐solving skills.
- Proficient in the latest technology for IT systems and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Thorough understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company’s goals.
- Associate degree in programming, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Working knowledge and experience of Healthcare Information Systems and Technology.
- Ability to read, speak and write the English language.
