Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Stage Hand to join our team in supporting various theatrical productions, including ballet and dance performances. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the behind-the-scenes operations, ensuring that all technical aspects of the production run smoothly. This position requires strong communication skills and a passion for the performing arts, particularly theater and dance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of stage equipment, props, and scenery before and after performances.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure all technical elements are in place for rehearsals and shows.
- Communicate effectively with cast and crew to coordinate cues and transitions throughout the show.
- Maintain a clean and organized backstage area to ensure safety and efficiency during productions.
- Educate fellow team members on proper handling of equipment and safety protocols.
- Participate in rehearsals to familiarize yourself with the production flow and assist in any necessary adjustments.
Requirements
- Previous experience in theater or performing arts is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with others.
- A passion for theater is highly desirable.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by production schedules.
