e are seeking a reliable and experienced Jobsite Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations at construction job sites. The Jobsite Supervisor will be responsible for managing on-site activities, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the crew, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, construction knowledge, and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality work and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Daily Operations: Oversee all activities on the job site, ensuring construction work is performed according to plans, specifications, and local regulations.
- Team Leadership: Direct and manage on-site workers, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring everyone is performing tasks efficiently and safely.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel. Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets or exceeds company and industry standards for quality, inspecting work in progress and final deliveries.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate schedules, resources, and project timelines.
- Materials Management: Ensure that necessary materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly maintained. Work with the procurement team to order materials as needed.
- Progress Reporting: Keep track of project progress, report any delays or issues to the project manager, and help implement corrective actions as needed.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on the job site, making real-time decisions to minimize delays or disruptions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of job site activities, including timesheets, safety reports, daily logs, and material usage.
- Inspection & Permitting: Ensure that the job site complies with local regulations and permit requirements, and schedule necessary inspections throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (a degree in construction management or a related field is a plus).
- Experience: 3 years of experience in construction or a similar field, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in OSHA 30-hour, First Aid, or other safety certifications.
- Previous experience managing large-scale construction projects.
- Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes.
- Experience with managing budgets and timelines for construction projects.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position.
- The role may require extended hours and some weekend work, depending on project deadlines.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Some travel may be required to visit different job sites.
