SUMMARY Responsible for tracking existing fixed assets and disposition of fixed assets in coordination with Staff Accountant-A.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Facilitates annual fixed asset inventory through auditing procedures including on-site inspections.
- Track asset tags, including but not limited to disposal, installation, and replacement of fixed assets.
- Assists with the disposal of fixed assets whether through a sale / trade or at the end of the useful life.
- Assists in asset disposal auctions and the sale of any asset.
- Assists in maintaining input of assets through Asset Tiger software.
- Assists with asset process evaluation and makes recommendations for system, process, or policy improvements.
- Processes all rental registrations and research potential rental properties.
- Encourages and practices cross-department collaboration, serving as a reliable and responsive support system for the fixed asset needs of all departments.
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE High School graduate or equivalent. Attention to detail and experience with managing data records required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two- step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Requires a valid Arkansas driver’s license and clean driving record with proof of liability insurance.
