We are looking for a hands-on, experienced Analyst who will support & help manage our Systems Merchandising and its related applications as well as Data Warehouse related processes and tools. You will plan and participate in the processes required to provision user applications and systems necessary for business operations. The ideal candidate will communicate ideas effectively, listen to others’ ideas, collaborate to arrive at great solutions, and build relationships across a larger organization.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Define, analyze, and evaluate existing Merchandising and Data Warehouse Enterprise platforms.
- Configure, test, and support business functions and processes leveraging existing tools.
- Make recommendations to management on opportunities for process improvements by utilizing and leveraging applications in this space.
- Meet with business partners, project managers, and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues, and proposed prioritization of build deliverables.
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications to stakeholders to understand issues and solutions.
- Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a transparent manner. This includes creating process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to guide the team.
- Review system design plans with a vendor, internal team, and consultants for alignment and ensuring that design fits within the business requirements.
- Define, coordinate, and manage the execution of test cases in partnership with the project Team QA as part of the Quality Assurance process.
- Create ad-hoc reports as needed by Enterprise Business Partners and applications being supported.
- Interfaces with management and lead to ensure proper adoption and utilization of technology solutions.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 3 to 4 years of experience with a Merchandising and Data Warehouse Management System preferred (Oracle Retail and/or Python or Snowflake Database knowledge is a plus)
- Some knowledge of Data Warehouse environment using Python and Snowflake
- Highly motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize work, and operate independently with minimal direction.
- Python coding experience with cloud databases and how to write SQL queries
- Ability to work long hours and weekends as dictated by business needs
- Broad cross-functional experience in Retail Merchandising environments
- Knowledge of Supply Chain applications and how they relate with Merchandising applications preferable but not needed
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with a focus on Information Technology, preferred
