Overview
Our Food & Beverage team at Hotel Bardo Savannah is currently looking for a motivated and attentive Barback for our poolside restaurant, Bar Bibi. This individual will be responsible for providing warm, anticipatory and efficient service to resort guests and club members. This individual will be tasked with ensuring that guests and club members have a memorable experience by delivering exceptional hospitality and assisting them with their food and beverage needs.
Responsibilities
Restock bar supplies such as liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, mixers, ice, glassware, napkins, and straws.
Prepare the bar for service by setting up stations, organizing tools, and ensuring cleanliness.
Clean and sanitize bar surfaces, tools, and equipment throughout the shift and during closing.
Empty trash bins, change kegs, and remove empty bottles and boxes to keep the workspace safe and uncluttered.
Assist with inventory counts and deliveries, ensuring items are correctly received and stored.
Support bartenders during busy periods by running drinks, retrieving ingredients, or bussing bar seating areas.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and beverage items.
Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience in hospitality or food & beverage preferred, but not required.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods.
Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
Team player mentality with excellent communication skills.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Basic knowledge of spirits and bar tools is a plus.
