Overview
We are seeking an In Room Dining Supervisor at Hotel Bardo Savannah, who will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our in-room dining service, leading a team of dedicated servers to deliver exceptional service and uphold the highest standards of quality, brand experience and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the in-room dining department, including scheduling and training, with the supervision of the F&B Leadership Team.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of in-room dining servers to ensure prompt and courteous service delivery.
- Monitor guest orders and service flow to ensure efficiency and adherence to service standards.
- Assist in taking and processing guest orders during peak periods, as needed, to ensure timely service.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and ongoing training sessions to ensure staff are knowledgeable about menu offerings, specials, and service standards.
- Maintain inventory levels and oversee restocking of in-room dining supplies, including food, beverages, and service equipment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling and storage of food items and adherence to hygiene protocols.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and efficient manner, resolving issues to the guests' satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other resort departments, such as culinary, housekeeping, front desk and brand, to ensure seamless coordination of guest services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in food and beverage service, preferably in-room dining or restaurant setting.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver exceptional service.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service principles, including menu knowledge, wine service, and proper table setup.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, with a focus on problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in hospitality management or related field preferred.
