What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Engineer position at Hotel El Roblar?
The Hotel El Roblar, a new hotel located in the heart of Downtown Ojai, is building a team of motivated leaders who are enthusiastic about creating an elevated service experience at an intimate 50 room property.
We are looking for somebody to help set up and create an environment and build a team. The essential function of the Maintenance Engineer is to perform daily maintenance operations to ensure good working condition of the entire property except for the landscape; performs work related to property improvements regarding buildings and real property as directed.
Responsibilities include:

Maintains the working condition of structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing for building fixtures, vehicles, and appliances on the property; maintains and cleans the pool.

Assists in maintaining a strict and secure key system for the hotel rooms and property.

Assists in maintaining an inventory of all tools, chemicals, paints, etc. used by the Maintenace Department.

Assists in monitoring and servicing the installed safety systems, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, lighting, skid surfacing, etc. for the property.

Participates in remodeling, rebuilding, redecorating projects as planned and assigned.

Cordially greets all guests and offers assistance as needed.

Maintains current awareness and understanding of applicable laws and El Roblar’s Policies and Procedures, and complies with the same.

Presents a professional appearance and demeanor and conducts themselves accordingly at all times.

Performs other duties assigned by the Director of Engineering.
