What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper/Front Desk position at Hotel Leavenworth?
“Hotel Leavenworth” is the newest boutique hotel in downtown Leavenworth. We have only been open since Summer or 2023.
We are looking to add a reliable and flexible person to our team!
The Room Attendant cleans and prepares guest rooms by meeting high standards of cleanliness to ensure guest satisfaction. We are looking for a person who can excel in the role and who is committed to delivering excellent experiences for guests.
We are looking for an individual who can also help with covering the front desk. Your main role will be in housekeeping, but you will need to be flexible and help with front desk on certain days, or if we need coverage.
You would get plenty of training and would be responsible for preparing guest registrations, taking reservations, answering guests’ questions, checking-in & checking-out guests, and some cleaning. In addition, you will help out with various other duties as may be required to ensure that the hotel runs smoothly.
ABOUT US
Hotel Leavenworth is a friendly, family-owned boutique hotel located in the heart of Leavenworth. We have 16 guest rooms, a lot of effort and creativity in making our hotel a great place to stay and to work.
CORE JOB DUTIES:
· Remove and replace dirty towels and bedding with clean linens
· Clean and sanitize all areas of the guestrooms and hotel common areas
· Laundry and folding
· Restock linens and supplies
· Vacuum, dust, and mop
SCHEDULE:
· Part-time
· Approximately 4-7 hours per day, starting at 9:15AM
· Must be available to work holidays and weekends, plus busy week days.
PAY:
· Starting wage is $19 / hour, plus a Holiday Bonus in January.
QUALIFICATION (Housekeeping)S:
· Knowledge of basic cleaning principles - safe use of cleaning products, and operation of standard cleaning equipment.
· Physical strength and manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment and perform all required cleaning duties.
· Maintain a neat and clean appearance to represent the hotel positively.
· Attention to detail and thoroughness to ensure room cleanliness standards are maintained.
· Good time management.
· Able to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
· Dependable with a good attendance record.
· Must have reliable transportation.
· Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Qualifications (Front Desk):
- Excellent people skills and desire to deliver outstanding customer service
- Super flexible and adaptable, and willing to step in to help on a variety of different tasks
- Attention to detail and proven problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently, and to act as the “Manager on Duty”
- Genuinely enjoy working with our valued guests and other staff
- Able to maintain composure in difficult situations
- Basic computer knowledge is required, but we will train on the specific systems.
- Dependable with a good attendance record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
· Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours and physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs; operation of vacuums weighing up to 25 lbs., lifting and moving heavy furniture, partially lifting mattresses weighing up to 155 lbs. and pushing a housekeeping cart weighing up to 75 lbs.
· Must be able to walk, stand, bend, climb, lift, carry, crouch, kneel, push, pull, reach, grasp and see.
