Job Summary
The Hotel Pontotoc and The Dame Bar is seeking a dedicated and friendly Guest Service Agent to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the face of the hotel for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle various guest inquiries efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
Duties
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage hotel functions, including check-in and check-out procedures.
- Answer phone calls, texts and emails promptly, providing information about hotel services and amenities and fulfilling requests in a timely and professional manner
- Handle guest requests and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions using hotel management software.
- Assist guests with reservations, billing inquiries, and special requests.
- Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Promote hotel services, events, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
- Complete daily cleaning assignments
- Assist Housekeeping, Bar and Event staff daily as needed and directed
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Proficiency in phone etiquette and handling phone systems effectively.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse guests.
- Familiarity with front desk operations and Cloudbeds hotel management software is advantageous.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.54 - $16.00 per hour
