The Hotel Pontotoc and The Dame Bar is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper and Morning Breakfast Attendant to join our team. The Hotel Pontotoc is an upscale, 10 room boutique hotel located in the South of Beale neighborhood in Downtown Memphis, The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel, ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests. This position requires a strong commitment to hospitality and an eye for detail, as you will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of cleanliness, service and comfort throughout the property.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver breakfast baskets to guest rooms per requested time.
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, ensuring all areas are spotless and well-maintained.
- Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as needed to enhance guest comfort.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Vacuum carpets and clean floors using appropriate techniques for various surfaces.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored according to safety guidelines.
- Adhere to hotel policies regarding cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or housekeeping management is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality standards and practices in hotel environments.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and floor care techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Must be physically capable of performing cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
