Host/Hostess

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
• Manage the reservation system and accommodate walk-in guests in a timely manner.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
• Answer phones, take reservations, and provide information about the restaurant’s menu, hours, and services.
• Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times accurately to guests.
• Communicate guest preferences or special requests to the service team.
• Monitor the dining area to ensure guests are seated in a timely manner and that tables are properly set.
• Assist with setting up the dining area, including arranging tables, chairs, and cleaning as needed.
• Provide assistance to servers and management with guest needs and seating arrangements.
• Uphold all health and safety standards in the dining area.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude and a team-oriented approach.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a high-energy environment.
• Must be flexible and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
