Wage: $13.50 per hour tips
Position Summary:
Located in the heart of Saranac Lake, Campfire Grill inside the historic Hotel Saranac is a vibrant, fast-paced restaurant where we strive to deliver exceptional dining experiences. We’re seeking passionate and friendly servers to join our team. As a server, you’ll be responsible for providing outstanding service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and collaborating with the team to maintain high service standards. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and have dedication to making every guest’s experience memorable, Campfire Grill is the place for you! Flexibility is key, with shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests with a welcoming attitude and provide excellent customer service.
- Present menus, make food and beverage recommendations, and answer questions.
- Take orders and serve food and drinks quickly and accurately.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any complaints in a positive manner.
- Issue checks, accept payments, and manage cash transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and workstations.
- Follow all health and safety protocols.
Minimum Requirements:
- 1-2 years of prior serving experience is preferred, but we’re happy to train the right candidate.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- TIPS certification (or ability to obtain).
- Positive attitude, ability to multitask, and work well under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; food and beverage safety training is a plus.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
