Job Overview:
Loews Vanderbilt Hotel is seeking an experienced Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. This is a fast-paced, high-volume role, preparing meals for 200-500 guests per service. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary skills, the ability to work under pressure, and experience in large-scale banquet or catering operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute banquet menu items with precision and consistency.
- Work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen to serve 200-500 guests.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow food safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper portioning, plating, and presentation of dishes.
- Assist with prep work and stocking to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to meet event deadlines and guest expectations.
Qualifications:
- Previous banquet, catering, or high-volume cooking experience is required.
- Strong knife skills and ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to read and follow recipes, instructions, and safety guidelines in English.
- Works well under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
