HotFoot Recruiters is excited to partner with a global healthcare & risk management organization to fill the role of Coordinating Nurse based in San Antonio, Texas. In this position, you will provide comprehensive medical support and assistance to international patients across multiple regions, ensuring healthcare services meet the highest standards of care and compliance with established protocols. This position is ideal for candidates looking to transition away from bedside clinical care to a corporate office environment.
Position : Coordinating Nurse
Location : San Antonio, Texas (IN-PERSON; Not Remote)
Type : Full-Time; Direct Hire
Salary : 81K
Paid Training : 5 days / week for approx. 8 weeks
Work Schedule : 4-10s or 5-9s (TBC)
Start Date : April 2025
Rotating shift schedule between 7 AM and 8 PM (no overnights).
Need to be open to work any day in the week
Require to work at least 1 weekend / month & 3 holidays / year
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct telephone triage and assess patients' medical needs to determine the appropriate level of care and services required.
Review and authorize healthcare services, manage medical case files, and ensure all care aligns with company policies and procedures.
Liaise with global healthcare providers to evaluate the quality of care and ensure services meet professional standards.
Oversee and coordinate medical evacuations and repatriations, assessing their necessity and handling logistical arrangements.
Maintain the confidentiality of all medical information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Work closely with international teams to ensure seamless communication and contribute to staff training and process improvements as needed.
Qualifications :
Current and unrestricted nursing license from any US state or territory.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Minimum 3 years of experience in primary care, MedSurg, acute care, emergency, or similar fields.
Strong communication skills with high emotional intelligence (EQ).
Familiarity with military healthcare and / or managed care systems is helpful.
Prior military service is a plus, but not required.
Ability to obtain and maintain required clearance for a position of trust (to be facilitated by the organization).
Proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required.
