Job Description
Summary/Objective
The Roof Maintenance Inspector examines current client roofing systems and identifies potential issues that can result in job orders for repairs or replacements.
Essential Functions:

- Assist in maintaining a monthly/yearly roof inspection list.
- Interacts with co-workers and directly with customers to schedule assigned roof inspections per customer requests and by customer or department deadlines.
- Examines all aspects of installed roofing systems (seams, sources of leakage, integrity of materials, etc.) to identify what, if any, problems are present.
- Photographs the roof and specific issues, notes problems and generates roof drawings.
- Consults with Account Managers as necessary to answer questions about materials, processes and profitable pricing.
- Imports inspection information, notes and solutions to found issues in a report and forwards the report to the appropriate Account Manager for bid preparation by deadlines.
- Collaborates with on-site crew and/or Superintendents when alternative/improved repairs are suggested.
- Be available on-site or via phone to answer questions from roof maintenance crews and/or Superintendent.
- Identifies other issues that may fall outside of the Roof Maintenance Department and communicates these to the appropriate department within Houck.

Work Environment
Functions can take place indoors or outdoors, sometimes in high, precarious places with fumes and/or airborne particles. The standard work environment has loud to very loud noise levels associated with various equipment, coworkers and phone conversations. Often work must be performed in high and/or cramped workspaces and awkward positions. The employee works around hazardous situations, materials and equipment.
Physical Demands
Physical demands are based on the ability to perform the following actions throughout an average 8 hour period of work for a 5 day work week.

Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma (Vo-tech preferred) or GED
- Seven to ten years of roofing construction experience.
Travel
Frequent. In-state and out-of-state travel required, sometimes for overnight. A current drivers’
license is required for this position.
