Due to our continued success, growth and reputation of excellence in the building restoration industry, Structural Restoration Services (SRS) is seeking a qualified individual to fill a role as estimator with our company.
This individual must have a proven track record of taking a project through the entire bid process; from following up a lead, to successfully preparing a detailed, well-thought-out estimate, to proper submission of the bid in compliance with the bid requirements, to following the work through the construction phase to a successful, profitable completion.

Summary Job Description
We expect this individual to be capable of maintaining a solid, professional relationship with the Owner and Architect/Engineer/Consultant, by representing SRS as the industry leader that we are. Coordinate and properly communicate externally with customers, consultants, architects and general contractors to assure all expectations are being met and to uphold our value of being the Choice.
Essential Functions:

- Pursuing project leads, attending pre-bid meetings, and making site visits to take photographs and measurements, in order to obtain accurate quantity take-off and evaluate site conditions affecting the bid.
- Generating relevant, accurate "RFIs" and submitting to engineer, architect, general contractor, or owner's representative.
- Preparing detailed, accurate, thorough estimates and reviewing those estimates with management, which includes explaining reasoning behind every aspect of the quote.
- Working with subcontractors to assist them in preparing accurate and complete bids. Meet subcontractors on site as needed. Comparing and accurately evaluating subcontractor bids and ensuring that they are complete and "apples to apples".
- Working with suppliers to obtain the most competitive pricing which meets the project requirements.
- Properly submitting bids, following up the bids, and once awarded, providing assistance to the production team to see the project through to a successful completion. Resolve technical or contractual issues.
- Prepare and submit RFI’s.
- Pursue on-going professional development training.
- Abide by and enforces all OSHA and SRS safety guidelines.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment as well as on site at construction locations. The use of computers, printers, cell phones, telephones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines is required. Other functions can take place indoors or outdoors, sometimes in high, precarious places with fumes and/or airborne particles. The standard outdoor work environment has loud to very loud noise levels associated with various equipment, coworkers and phone conversations. Often work must be performed in high and/or cramped workspaces and awkward positions. The employee works around hazardous situations, materials and equipment.
