Location: Remote Position (US)
Purpose of the Role:
The Content Specialist is responsible for the delivery of tailored pre-sales presentations to customers in collaboration with sales and Getting Started training during the Back to School season. The Content Specialist also assists with the support of sales pilots. Content Specialists are responsible for learning 1) sales presentations, 2) Getting Started training presentations, and 3) subject matter expertise for a suite of HMH products and services.
Job Responsibilities:
- Presale and Customer Success Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Solution Support Group Directors, and peers, to customize the sales message with awareness of customer needs, campaign issues, and competitive knowledge
- Explore customer needs for education solutions
- Deliver live, pre-sales online product demonstration webinars tailored to customer and sales needs using multiple platforms and software
- Deliver live and onsite pre-sales customer presentations, plus product demonstrations, tailored to customer and sales needs using multiple platforms and software
- Handle customer questions and overcomes objections
- Demonstrate product knowledge to position products in a way that reflects product strengths while aligning with market issues, curriculum trends, and customer needs
- Utilize knowledge of competitors’ products to enhance product positioning in live demonstrations
- Provide initial training and ongoing support for sales pilots
- Deliver data driven customer presentations to support the Customer Success team in driving annual renewable revenue when requested
- Digital Responsibilities:
- Expertise with Zoom, PPT, and live product/lesson demonstrations
- Learn to create Camtasia videos to support Request For Proposal (RFP) submissions, sales opportunities, and pilots
- Ready to learn Salesforce and other HMH software progrms as required
- Education Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate understanding of assigned disciplines including core, supplemental and intervention products as well as technology associated with assigned products
- Learn two or more content areas (i.e. STEM) as requested
- Learn data driven instructional exploration techniques to support the sales and Customer Success teams when requested
- Other Responsibilities:
- Deliver trainings supporting post-sales partners
- Project work as assigned
What You Need to be Succesful:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5 years of K-12 teaching experience in ELA.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Digital literacy
- Collaboration skills
- Highly organized and able to transfer strategies into actions that deliver results.
- Able to use MS Office Suite and web conferencing tools.
Nice to Have:
- Graduate degree
- Virtual teaching experince highly preferred.
- Social Media Skills
- Bilingual/Biliterate a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends, and travel up to 30% – driving and flying.
- Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
- Lift and move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- A valid driver's license and clear driving record.
Benefits and Salary Range:
Salary Range - $72,000 - 90,000
