Fast Paced Veterinary Clinic Seeking Professional Receptionist
Hound & Katt Veterinarian is a busy Urgent Care and Wellness Veterinary clinic in Casper, Wyoming. We strive to work as a team to provide top notch veterinary care, while providing same day appointments for our clients sick pets.
We currently want to add a customer service professional to our team. Please have customer service experience, and a positive, up tone attitude is a must! We work hard to have a positive and supportive team, and receptionist is one of the most important team mates. You are often the first and last person our clients will see and speak with and you will be creating a positive client experience daily. Most work is done without supervision, so self motivated quick learners are key for us. This is an 'on your feet' position. Our receptionists do work at our front reception desk, but are constantly on the move with clients and patients.
Requirements:
Strong customer service and communication skills in person and on the phone.
A happy smile and voice.
Efficient and accurate administrative skills.
Ability to delegate, take ownership and responsibility for tasks.
Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment. Neat and organized is a must.
We are a cloud based mostly paperless practice. Computer skills and knowledge of basic office equipment are required.
You must be a team player.
Examples of job duties:
Greet all clients with a warm and happy smile.
Answer phones with exceptional customer service.
Efficient and courteous phone skills are a must, as well as the ability to ascertain which calls are emergencies without giving out medical advice.
We are very busy. Remain proactive so you are not reactive.
Handle multiple phone calls on multiple lines, as well as texts and emails.
Schedule all recheck and follow up appoints before the client leaves.
Check patients in and out, open and close invoices, ensure all invoices are paid in full before the client leaves.
Get all necessary check in, surgery, and drop off documents completed and signed by the client.
Become an expert user of our practice management computer system and phone and communication system.
Provide and communicate accurate estimates for drop off appointments and surgeries.
Make daily follow up and reminder calls, log all communications completely and accurately.
Basic understanting of dog and cat vaccines and parasite preventative protocols.
Proactively run weekly reports to assess and evaluate new appointments and new clients and patients to meet established goals.
Beginning of shift and end of shift cleaning. We all pitch in to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
Full time, 40 hours per week, eight hour shifts, Monday through Friday 11:00am to 7:00pm.

Education and experience: You must have graduated high school, a two year degree or four year degree is preferred. Previous veterinary office, medical office, or animal hospital experience is preferred but not required.
