Job Overview
The Facilities Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the functionality of our facilities both inside and outside. This position requires a proactive individual who can perform various maintenance tasks, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will be an all-around handyperson with the knowledge and the ability to perform small household repair projects while providing excellent customer service to internal and external guests.
Duties
- Conduct daily inspections of facilities and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform residential painting and other aesthetic improvements to enhance the appearance of facilities.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs.
- Read and interpret instructions for effective problem-solving and repairs.
- Work as a team with other maintenance staff, providing guidance and leadership on projects in your area of expertise.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all duties.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
Skills
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Experience working in the LGBTQ community a plus.
- Proficient in residential painting techniques.
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance.
- Experience working with pools and hot tubs is a plus but not necessary.
- Leadership skills with the ability to work with a team effectively.
- Experience working in landscaping is a plus.
- Experience in working with small residential projects for repairs or improvements.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on communication.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
