After-School Support Staff

Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as an after school support staff. This role is essential in creating a supportive and engaging environment for students, fostering their growth and development through various educational and recreational activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to promoting positive learning experiences.

Duties

• Supervise and engage with students during program activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Implement lesson plans and educational activities that promote classroom management and student participation.
• Provide support in tutoring sessions, helping students understand their coursework and develop academic skills.
• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional development.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive program that meets the needs of all participants.
• Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress and program updates.

Experience
Candidates should possess experience or skills in one or more of the following areas:

• Classroom management
• Working with students in an educational setting
• Tutoring or academic support
• Knowledge of childhood development principles
• Experience working with children of various ages
• Experience working with children of various social/emotional/behavioral needs

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
