Feed Mill Operator
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all batching and pelleting feed processes meet company guidelines, as well as State and Federal Regulations, including FSMA.
This involves overseeing and maintaining all automation in the feed manufacturing process, working with dispatch on feed requirements and scheduling, and ensuring that all sampling procedures are done according to company protocol.
Daily inventories will be taken as requested by Management. The Feed Mill Operator will also be trained to operate a forklift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Batching and pelleting feed processes must adhere to company guidelines and regulations.
- Oversight of automation in the feed manufacturing process.
- Collaboration with dispatch on feed requirements and scheduling.
- Sampling procedures must follow company protocol.
- Taking daily inventories as requested by Management.
- Operating a forklift after training.
Requirements:
- A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
- Knowledge of Feed manufacturing equipment operation is desired but not necessary.
- Practical Computer skills and good math skills are essential.
- Familiarity with switches, breakers, and some maintenance skills is beneficial.
- Good attendance is crucial for this role.
- Availability to work weekends, nights, and holidays is required.
Work Schedule:
This is a 2nd shift position, operating from 5:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Friday at House of Raeford Farms.
