What are the responsibilities and job description for the hatchery supervisor position at House of Raeford Farms?
Provide a safe working environment for all employees.
Promote safety
Assist in safety audits and adhere to safety guidelines and procedures
Work with management and co-workers to correct safety issues
Responsible for all day-to-day procedures and processes to produce quality chicks that are free of injury and of proper temperature both in incubation and transportation
Supervise employees daily to ensure procedures are followed with regards to processing, cleaning, handling and setting of eggs, transferring of eggs, transportation and all computer work and paperwork to process chicks
Manage Egg inventory through the Amino computer program
Responsible for all QC data and programs that include breakouts, moisture, checks and rectal temps, infertile egg temps, transfer crack checks, data logs, and all machine checks to help make educated decisions that affect set procedures, machine temp / wet bulb temp, hall temps and provide quality chicks
Will assist co-workers and management when needed at all times
Supervise the Hatchery at all times in order that it is presentable, clean and neat.
Will have a good attitude, communicate with employees and be receptive to the needs of subordinates to help promote efficient and effective work.
Will communicate with peers and management of Columbia Farms via E-mail, text messaging and telephone when absent.
Manage Parts inventory and order when needed
Order Vaccine when needed
Compile weekly Vaccine and Egg Report for the end of the week Inventory
