Job Description: Live-In Family Assistant | Philadelphia, PA (Rittenhouse Square)
A warm and busy family in the Rittenhouse Square area of Philadelphia is seeking a dedicated and energetic Live-In Family Assistant to start ASAP and work until the end of the year. This is a Monday through Friday position, offering an opportunity to become a valued part of the family. If you are reliable, experienced, and love to stay organized, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Morning Childcare: Help get the family’s 4-year-old ready for school in the mornings, including preparing breakfast. The child attends school in Haverford, so punctuality and routine are essential. Driving the child to school some mornings as well.
- Daily Care For Home: There is a detailed cleaner that comes for the full housekeeping once a week, but the family assistant will assist in ensuring the home is tidy in between (vacuuming, organizing, tidying, etc.)
- Laundry & Care of Delicate Items: Handle all laundry duties, including washing, ironing, and folding, with a special focus on delicate fabrics. Must carefully read labels and properly care for fine garments and materials to ensure nothing is damaged.
- Dry Cleaning Coordination: Occasionally arrange pick-up or delivery with the family’s dry cleaner.
- Assist When Needed: Be flexible to jump in and help with the child or other tasks when required, contributing to a happy, supportive home environment.
