Outside Sales Representative - San Diego

HouseMax Funding, one of the nation's leading hard money lenders, is seeking a dynamic and driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. This individual will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with local builders, ADU specialists, commercial and residential contractors, real estate investors, and others involved in the ADU, construction, and fix-and-flip industries. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, ideally related to residential construction, and experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot. Experience in private lending or hard money lending is a plus.

This position is located in San Diego, California. Candidates must be actively working in this area to be considered.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Business Development : Identify and establish relationships with prospective clients, including ADU specialists, builders, real estate agents, and investors in the fix-and-flip or construction industries. Daily travel throughout your local region to call on and solicit to regular and prospective customers.
  • Loan Origination : Originate and assist in processing loans for your customers and prospects. This is the end goal of your business development and prospecting endeavors.
  • Client Relationship Management : Maintain ongoing communication with current clients to ensure satisfaction, uncover additional needs, and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Networking & Market Research : Attend industry events, trade shows, and community meetings to promote the company’s services and generate leads. Stay informed about local market trends, industry developments, and competitors to identify opportunities for growth.
  • CRM Management : Utilize HubSpot to track sales activities, manage leads, and report progress.
  • Sales Performance : Meet or exceed sales goals through consistent prospecting, relationship building, and closing deals.

Qualifications :

  • 5 years of successful sales experience in a residential construction related field, or in financial services with a strong working knowledge of residential construction.
  • Existing network of contacts in the local builder, ADU specialist, contractor, and real estate investment communities is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, preferably HubSpot, to manage leads and track sales performance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse clients.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel locally to meet with clients as needed.
