- Has the ability to copy, fax, scan and email by using the office equipment provided.
- Answer telephone in a prompt manner.
- Maintains a professional manner while on the telephone.
- Verifies insurance for every patient.
- Remains courteous while interacting with patients.
- Schedules appointments correctly.
- Maintains patient privacy with confidential information and protects computer screen or other information from other patient’s view.
- Employee fosters a culture of a good working environment.
- Ensure cases and contact solutions are stocked.
- Orders contacts appropriately without error.
- Assist the optician with an additional tasks as assigned.
- Have excellent communication skills while interacting with patients, physicians, and other staff. Including the ability to communicate with physician with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issue.
- Be interested in our patient's eye health and a have a desire to improve our patient's quality of life.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with accuracy.
- The candidate will be able to adapt to new equipment and techniques as they evolve.
- Have the ability to organize and prioritize tasks in order to maintain an orderly and effective optical office.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 24 per week
