What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Specialist position at Housing Authority of Bowling Green?
The purpose of this job is to assist the Finance Director in managing payroll and grant activities of the Housing Authority of Bowling Green, including compiling payroll information by managing payroll preparation; completing reports; and maintaining records. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for grant invoicing duties.
Responsibilities include processing payroll for employees, maintain employee payroll files, prepare monthly retirement reports, quarterly unemployment reports, provide benefit oversight, prepare monthly grant invoices, prepare and oversee grant budgets, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related field required, with one to three years of accounting experience: or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.
