What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement/Contracts Specialist position at Housing Authority of the City of Charleston?
This is a responsible administrative and accounting position coordinating functions and operations for the Procurement and Contracts Manager. It requires strong decision-making skills. It is interdependent work that requires knowledge of purchasing concepts, contract terms, inventory control, accounting, and their structures while operating within the CHA’s procurement and contracts processes and the applicable HUD, Federal, State, and CHA policies, guidelines, and rules that govern it. The work utilizes excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills to prioritize activities during the multiple stages of these processes. It also requires completing multiple job assignments and meeting deadlines.
Maintain communication lines while providing technical assistance to CHA’s staff and external partners, taking a customer-service approach to problem-solving. This also requires a valid South Carolina driver's license.
