POSITION SUMMARY :
Housing Forward leads the Coordinated Assessment System (CAS) for providers of housing and services to people experiencing homelessness in Dallas and Collin Counties. The CAS includes a Homeless Helpline, standardized assessment protocols, an eligibility and prioritization process, and web-based housing placement tools. The CAS Coordinator will lead management, administration, and continuous improvement of the coordinated access process. This position will be responsible for co-coordinating operations for the CAS and leading operations of the CAS for special populations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Under the supervision of the Director of CAS, the CAS Coordinator will :
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of CAS including the management of the CAS queue and referral process in HMIS, and responding to partner issues and referral requests via Spiceworks tickets
- Manage processes and continuously improve CAS components including Homeless Helpline, standardized assessment protocols, eligibility and prioritization processes, and housing placement tools
- Coordinate with other verticals on CAS processes and coordination
- Develop, maintain, revise, and ensure adherence to Continuum of Care (CoC) Program Models, Policies and Procedures, and Written Standards
- Provide training, coaching, and technical assistance to service providers as needed to improve outcomes
- Facilitate relevant coordination meetings with service providers
- Co-facilitate CoC workgroups and assist them to organize, track, and facilitate the completion of tasks in service of CoC priorities
- Stay abreast of national best practices and implement beneficial CAS changes
