What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse/Shop Laborer position at Housley Group?
Handling of inbound and outbound goods, materials and equipment of the warehouse/yard. Tagging, labeling, and stocking all supplies of the warehouse. Efficiently completing activities delegated by supervisors. Loading and unloading of delivery trucks with forklifts and other warehouse machinery. Maintaining tidiness and cleanliness standards of the warehouse, building and premise. Organizing supplies and construction equipment in the warehouse and yard. Coordinating work functions with coworkers, transporters and other departments in the organization. Maintaining count of warehouse inventories and reporting discrepancies to the supervising manager. Conducting regular checks and maintenance functions of all equipment in yard. Must be able to lift and carry 50-75 pounds. Must be able to bend and/or squat repetitively. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have good oral and written communication skills and knowledge of computers and Microsoft office. Highly organized and mechanically inclined a must.
It is occasionally necessary to crawl. It is frequently necessary to squat, reach above shoulder level, crouch, kneel, balance, push/pull equipment. It is continuously necessary to bend. It is occasionally necessary to climb up to 12 feet. In an 8 hour day, the employee can expect to stand about 5 hours and to walk about 2 hours.
The employee would occasionally be required to carry loads up to and including 100 lbs. and the employee would frequently be required to carry loads up to and including 74 lbs.

The job requires repetitive movement of both feet. Simple grasping with both hands is necessary. Fine manipulation with both hands is necessary. Firm grasping with both hands is necessary.
