Description Of Duties/Essential Functions
Performs routine technical work involving analysis of financial statements and reports, preparation of work papers, schedules, graphs, charts and reports. Develops preliminary interpretations and provides recommendations to management.
Responsibilities
“Must be able to pass a criminal background check, obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearance where required.”
If applicable, the applicant’s past performance evaluations, past and present supervisory recommendations, and/or Internal Affairs complaint history will be reviewed and considered.
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field.
Experience Requirements
One (1) year of professional experience in finance, budget analysis, economics or a closely related field is required.
Substitutions: Four (4) years of pertinent professional or para-professional experience may substitute for the education requirement. An Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field and two (2) years of pertinent professional or para-professional experience may substitute for the education requirement.
License Requirements
None.
PREFERENCES
Preference will be given to applicants with knowledge of SAP, accounts payable, and the processing of travel & training for the entire department.
**Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.**

- Assists department accounting staff in meeting their financial and accounting functional goals. Maintains financial programs in accordance with established procedures.
- Analyzes financial statements and reports.
- Assists in the design and development of financial policies and procedures.
- Assists department representatives in the review and evaluation of selected financial reports.
- Performs other duties and special projects as requested.
- Compiles financial data and prepares work papers, schedules, graphs and charts as required
