Maintenance General Technician
Reports To: Director, Maintenance & Operations
Job Status: Non-exempt
Position Summary:
The Maintenance General Technician is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the University. The Technician performs duties relative to preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance to enhance the operation of building systems.
- Perform duties such as general light electrical, AC, and appliance repair.
- Perform general pool/spa and lock/key maintenance.
- Provide servicing of plumbing maintenance, installation, and repair work.
- Assist other maintenance staff as needed.
- Adhere to university and industry safety standards.
- Must be on call for maintenance emergencies.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Two years of facilities related experience.
- Advanced knowledge of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Customer service oriented, prompt, efficient, and committed to quality.
- Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to safely drive a golf cart or similar vehicle.
- Ability to work on call when needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
