Job Title: Intern, Houston Dynamo & Dash Soccer Team
Location: Houston, TX 77003
Department: Administration (Finance, Legal, HR, Community Relations, Stadium Operations, Ticket Sales/Sponsorship)
Reports To: Department Managers
Overview:
The Houston Dynamo Soccer Team is seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns to support various administrative functions within our organization. This is a paid internship program that provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure in one of our key departments: Finance, Legal, HR, Community Relations, Stadium Operations, and Ticket Sales/Sponsorship. The successful candidate will assist in daily operations, collaborate with department leads, and contribute to various projects that support the team’s long-term success.
Key Responsibilities for each department:
• Finance: Assist with data entry, budgeting, and financial reporting. Support the finance team in tracking expenses and preparing financial documents.
• Legal: Help with contract management, research, and other legal paperwork as needed. Assist in maintaining legal records and documentation.
• HR: Assist with employee onboarding processes and help maintain HR databases. Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to various HR-related projects.
• Community Relations: Help coordinate community outreach initiatives, including events, charity functions, and team appearances. Support the team’s efforts to strengthen community ties.
• Stadium Operations: Assist with logistics for matchdays and special events. Support the operations team in managing stadium resources and coordinating with vendors and suppliers.
• Ticket Sales/Sponsorship: Help with ticketing processes, customer service, and sponsorship fulfillment. Assist in organizing promotional campaigns and sponsorship activations.
Qualifications:
• Current student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for soccer and sports management is a plus.
• Prior internship or volunteer experience in a sports or administrative setting is a plus.
