Position Purpose:
The Director of Warehouse Operations is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and management of all warehouse operations systems and infrastructure. This role is critical in managing the receiving, storage, and shipping aspects of the supply chain, ensuring timely and efficient product distribution, maintaining high standards of customer service, improving operational efficiency and safety, and leading cross functional teams to meet business objectives. This is a key leadership position responsible for providing direction for a comprehensive operational forecast which supports the company’s continued growth and goals.
Compensation:
- $130k-135k annual salary

Leadership Duties:
- Oversee departmental performance to ensure duties and goals are executed timely, and identify performance and execution roadblocks before they occur and provides solution options.
- Supervise activities of all warehouse staff, and provide regular coaching and growth opportunities for employees to promote a culture of continuous improvement and development.
- Create, maintain, and communicate departmental goals and metrics that align with and support the continued accomplishment of company goals.
- Serve as a member of Houston’s senior leadership team, and collaborate with other senior leaders to build and maintain a long-term operational strategy that aligns with company core values and goals, balancing a growth focus for both employees and business.
Functions or Duties:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the operations team, fostering a high-performance culture in line with our core values.
- Develop operational roadmaps for multi-location company in collaboration with the leadership team.
- Direct and oversee all aspects of warehouse operations for multiple locations, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, warehouse layout, safety, compliance and security; ensure all locations are aligned in standard best practices.
- Work with the President and CFO to establish and manage operational budgets and resources.
- Create and maintain KPI’s. Analyze operational data to track metrics such as order accuracy, warehouse layout efficiency, and product flow.
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership on operational performance, challenges, and achievements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and third-party service providers.
- Ensure local and federal government regulatory safety compliance through documentation, training, enforcement, and follow-up: DOT, OSHA, FDA, and Department of Agriculture.
- Direct and oversees all aspects of domestic and international shipping and receiving documentation and compliance.
- Coordinate, maintain, and document all facilities security measures.
- Establish, maintain and update essential business policies through coordination with other departments, including but not limited to product recall process, emergency response program, and food safety.
- Develop, direct and monitor labor and material cost standards for warehouse operations and processes.
- Negotiate to obtain the best rates, product, and services for equipment, supplies, maintenance, and shipping.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills.
- Strong organizational, team-building, and leadership skills.
- Ability to produce, analyze, and interpret large amounts of data for the purpose of reporting and decision making processes.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Thorough knowledge of safety practices within a warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, distribution processes, inventory control, and food safety regulations.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of manager-level warehouse operations experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- College degree preferred or equivalent experience in logistics and supply chain management.
- Experience in managing multi-site operations and large-scale teams.
