We are seeking a Credit Union Member Services Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional member service to our members, responding to inquiries, opening and closing accounts debit cards, and taking credit card applications. The MSR will assist with members' safe deposit boxes and making payments as well as payments and transfers in member accounts. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, an ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks, and a commitment to providing the highest member service.
Responsibilities:
- Explain the benefits of credit union products and services to potential and existing members.
- Open, modify, and close deposit accounts, safe deposit boxes, debit cards, and ATM cards.
- Provide excellent customer service to members and guests.
- Answer inquiries from members and guests promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of member information and transactions.
- Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
- Process payments and issue receipts.
- Provide information about membership benefits and services.
- Process stop payments and assist members with checking and ACH disputes or fraud cases.
- Capture and reissue debit cards and ATM cards.
- Input loan applications and route them to underwriters for approval.
Qualifications
- Strong background in banking and financial services
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficient in cash handling and basic math
- Experience with debits and credits
- Familiarity with financial software and cash management practices
- Ability to engage in financial sales and upselling techniques
- Knowledge of fraud prevention and detection methods
Hours: Monday - Friday: 7:50 AM - 5:00 PM; Rotating Saturday schedule: 08:50 AM - 1:00 PM. Saturday shifts at the Main Office (4200 Kolb Street).
Closed Sunday & most holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34,679.00 - $45,551.00 per year
