Position Purpose :
The position maintains an efficient and courteous restaurant operation by greeting and seating, establishing rapport and assisting with restaurant service.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Meets arriving customers as they enter restaurant with cordial greeting.
- Assigns tables, issues menus and solicits rapport in or to accommodate needs or requests.
- Assigns tables and notifies servers of new seats in their section to ensure customers receive immediate and proper attention.
- Maintains a clean and attractive restaurant by assisting with vacuuming, general cleaning, and side work duties.
- Checks the proper set-up of the table prior to opening.
- Immediately reports in writing any maintenance or discrepancies to management.
- Schedules restaurant reservations and arranges parties or special service for guests.
- Performs all job responsibilities in a safe manner.
- May need to prepare beverages and expedite food orders.

Work Environment :
Must be able to work in a team atmosphere in a fine-dining restaurant.
Physical Requirements :
Must be able to bend, squat, lift and push up to 20 lbs. on a consistent basis.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch for general cleaning tasks.
Must be able to stand and walk for an extended amount of time (walk back and forth on a consistent basis)
