Greenhouse Labor Manager

Job Summary
The Greenhouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the greenhouse, ensuring optimal growth conditions for plants, and managing staff. This role requires a blend of horticultural knowledge, leadership skills, and practical experience in greenhouse management.

Responsibilities

• Set Supervisor weekly rotation schedule.
• Schedule working hours for all phases.
• Ensure weekly reports are completed and handed out for review.
• Review weekly work plan with labor managers.
• Enforce quality standards for all crop work (except harvesting).
• Weekly Meetings
• Crop status report update.
• Set efficiency standards according to job descriptions on work plan.
• Supply sufficient workers to each phase.
• Utilize labor contractors to reduce direct costs for temporary jobs.
• Translate piece rate per hour to rows per day and/or translate bonus program.
• Prepare weekly work plan
• Schedule cleanup equipment requirements
• Inventory control of material needed.
• Maintain and adhere to a" worksite safety, food safety, hygiene protocols and compliance standards.
• Ensure at' supervisors and employees are trained and adhere to all worksite safety, food safety, hygiene protocols and compliance standards.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in greenhouse management or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of growing techniques for various plants and crops.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Bilingual, English/Spanish, a plus, but not mandatory

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $69,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Extended hours
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed
