Acute Residential Counselor Adult - Crisis Stabilization - AWAKE OVERNIGHTS :
Maintain a stable environment for adults with mental health and / or substance use challenges. This is a full-time position that works at a hospital diversion program that supports adults having a mental health crisis. This is a unique opportunity to gain a broad level of experience in the fields of substance use and mental health. Awake overnights.
Responsibilities :
- Provide supportive counseling, medication management, and crisis intervention
- Help residents strengthen coping and symptom management skills
- Maintain the overall functioning and cleanliness of the programs
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals
- Provide short-term case management and referrals to appropriate levels of care
- Facilitate groups
- Administer medication
