Job Summary:
The Regulatory Coordinator offers compliance support and guidance to the operations and engineering teams involved with liquid and gas pipelines, compressor stations, cryogenic facilities, and terminals operations in Oklahoma. This role is essential for ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while also supporting our operational and strategic goals. The coordinator collaborates closely with various departments to evaluate regulatory requirements, assess their impact on operations, and formulate strategies to ensure compliance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepares and submits required reports, including PHMSA annual reports, PHMSA notifications, NPMS submissions, OCC damage prevention notifications and state reports to regulatory agencies within the designated operating area.
- Gathers DOT information for management reports and for submission to DOT/PHMSA/OCC.
- Assists in the development and upkeep of various regulatory plans for facility locations, ensuring compliance with current pipeline, air, water, and waste regulations.
- Supports and/or supervises regulatory compliance contractors in tracking compliance notifications and reporting, as well as providing compliance assistance related to field operations.
- Manages O&M, Integrity, and damage prevention regulatory required tasks.
- Assists with maintaining compliance plans such as, but not limited to O&M, Integrity, OQ, Drug and Alcohol, SPCC, FRP, and SW3P.
- Assists with conducting environmental compliance audits.
- Leads monthly safety meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong understanding of federal and state regulations governing the energy industry.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and regulatory compliance software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (equivalent education & experience may be considered)
- 3 years’ experience in regulatory compliance within the midstream oil and gas sector, along with a solid understanding of midstream operations
- Experience working in field and office environments
Certifications:
- EHS certifications preferred
Travel:
Travel required locally or long-distance up to 20% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
Equipment:
Computer, computer software programs and peripherals, resource materials and equipment, copier, fax, and other equipment applicable to the position.
Mental and Physical Demands:
General office and sedentary. Regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing; occasional: lifting/carrying, pulling/pushing up to 30 pounds.
Maintain emotional control under stress, work with interruptions and deadlines.
May work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Environmental Factors:
Occasional exposure to biological hazards (communicable diseases, bacteria, insects, mold, fungi, etc.). Occasional exposure to weather related conditions when working in an outdoor environment.
