What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Engineer position at Howard Energy Partners?
Note: This position will be supporting our Mexico projects. Requires valid travel documentation to legally travel between the United States and Mexico.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Implement entire project cycle of large, complex projects, including design, development, material procurement, construction, and project completion.
- Work with entry level engineers to help develop process solutions, code compliance, engineering standards, proper company and safety standards and good engineering practices.
- Work with both the operations and engineering teams as a technical lead providing troubleshooting guidelines, engineering support and field engineering support on complex problems including cross-discipline issues working with multiple components of personnel.
- Engage in the PSM process/activities working with the local PSM personnel. Help maintain PSI, develop MOCs, conduct PSSRS, participate in PHA/LOPAs, etc.
- Maintain process simulations and utilize the simulation files for troubleshooting, project development, training and developing cost estimates.
- Work with the engineering and business development groups to assist in the development of projects and estimates.
- Review design of facilities and equipment from a process standpoint and provide specifications for equipment and instrumentation.
- Analyze data and perform engineering calculations and analysis.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering Discipline from a 4-year, accredited college or university.
- Previous Natural Gas industry understanding
- 6-15 years of experience in Engineering, Project Management, and Operations Support
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office computer software.
- Experience with Engineering analysis including specialty software.
Travel:
Travel required locally or long-distance up to 40% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
Equipment:
Computer, computer software programs and peripherals, resource materials and equipment, copier, fax, and other equipment applicable to the position.
