SUMMARY OF JOB :
Erie Title is a fast-paced title company which is seeking a title attorney. The position primarily requires the attorney to review title exams prepared by our vendors; review title insurance commitments and policies; review preliminary judicial reports; prepare / review final judicial reports; resolve defects in title; and to communicate with our underwriters and staff. The title attorney will also be asked to provide legal services such as preparation of deeds, memorandums of trust, purchase agreements, and other documents required for real estate transactions. Erie Title has a primary office location in Mayfield Heights, Ohio.
The ideal candidate will have the following :
- Is licensed to practice law in Ohio. Special consideration will be given to candidates also licensed in Michigan or Pennsylvania (or willing to become licensed in these states);
- Is able to work quickly, but accurately;
- Can provide excellent customer service;
- Pays meticulous attention to detail; and
- Is a team player with a positive attitude.
Prior real estate and / or title insurance is preferred but not necessarily required as training will be provided.
