Hotel Front Desk Clerk (3rd Shift)

The Howard Johnson Waukegan/Great Lakes , a leader in the hospitality industry, is offering exciting opportunities for guest-focused, friendly, outgoing individuals to greet and assist guests as our Full-Time Night Auditor. The ideal candidates must multi-task effectively and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.The qualified, proactive candidates will be responsible for customer service, checking in/out guests, and responding to guests’ requests.

Night Auditor Job Overview The night auditor will perform front desk duties during the overnight shift at the Howard Johnson Waukegan/Great Lakes . Also, registering hotel guests and answering telephone calls are among a night auditor's common duties. The night auditor is also responsible for reconciling the hotels accounts to ensure room use and revenue statistics are accurate and up to date.The night auditor must have a friendly demeanor, good math skills, and attention to details. They must also be hard working, as they are required to work regular night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Night Audit Responsibilities will also include:

• Serving as the main point of contact and acting in a proactive manner regarding all guest requests and needs
• Checking guests into and out of the hotel
• Posting charges to guestrooms
• Verifying credit cards
• Cash handling & balancing bank at the end of the shift

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year prior hotel experience.
• Synxis experience is a plus but not required.
• Must have excellent communication, phone, and hospitality skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
