JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Finishing Sprayer
Department: Finishing
General Summary / Basic Function:
Active member of finishing operations. Primary role is to spray finish material of wood furniture products. May also install glass and trim or other assignments in the department. May rotate from station to station depending on staffing and the particular product under production at a given time.

Skills and Abilities Required:
1. Prior experience spraying clear top coat finishes preferred.
2. Physical ability required for continuous standing and walking, as well as the ability to hold light weights (spray gun) at arms length for extended periods. Some lifting of light to moderate weights, along with the ability to bend, twist and turn is also required.
3. The ability to work at a constant, predetermined rate of speed, to concentrate for extended periods of time, and to closely attend visually to the quality of application.
4. The ability to perceive clarity of color and finish and to detect unwanted variations.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
1. Finish spraying experience.
2. The ability to follow oral and written instructions is required although a high school level of knowledge is preferred.
3. Minimum of one year of experience and a thorough understanding of various production and quality standards. Will need to become adept at the techniques of application specific to the various materials and products.
Working Conditions
1. Conditions on this job are relatively clean, quiet, and dust free as all spraying is done in the context of well exhausted spray booths.
2. Air quality standards are monitored and meet regulatory standards, however, the odor of finishing materials can be unpleasant.
